How are we already in August? It seems like July just started. It must be quarantine brain!
😂 Although the month flew by I managed to read 10 books. It’s not bad considering we sold our house, moved to Arizona and bought a new house. All within a month! Crazy right??
All the books I read were 4 or 5 stars except for one and I’ll get into that in more detail below. I do want you to remember that just because a book wasn’t for me doesn’t mean it won’t be for you. I always suggest getting the book and trying it out.
A Good Marriage
4.5 ⭐️
With the Fire on High
5⭐️
Florence Adler Swims Forever
4.5 ⭐️ Butterfly Project
4⭐️ Boyfriend Material
5⭐️ Risky Whiskey
5⭐️
Cock & Bull
4⭐️
The Wife Who Knew To Much
4.5⭐️ Carolina Breeze
4.5⭐️ Big Summer
2.8⭐️
Now let me explain that one. I literally was judging this book by its cover. To me it screamed Summer read. The book had an excellent message on body positivity but I just felt it lacked something. I wasn’t drawn in or felt invested in any characters. It left me wanting so much more. And like I said earlier, so many people have loved this one so try it out for yourself.
Now brace yourself and hang on cause August is coming in full force! Look for tomorrow’s post on my TBR pile for the month!
Much Love and Happy Reading
Clarkie ♥️
